Proxies
Guide about proxies
What are proxies and why they're needed
Websites have security measures to detect and block bot traffic. If too many requests come from the same IP address, the website may rate-limit, block, or ban the user. Proxies solve this by masking your real IP address and rotating it with different ones, making it appear as if multiple real users are accessing the site.
Difference Between Residential and Datacenter/ISP Proxies
Residential Proxies
These are real IP addresses assigned by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to actual home users.
They are harder to detect and less likely to get blocked.
Best for sites where anti-bot measures are strict.
Slower than datacenter proxies due to relying on real internet connections.
Datacenter/ISP Proxies
These come from servers in data centers rather than real home users.
They are faster and cheaper than residential proxies.
Easier to detect and block.
Best for high-speed tasks with low anti-bot security.
Which One Should You Use?
If the website has strict anti-bot protection, residential proxies are better since they mimic real users.
If speed and cost are more important and the site has weaker bot detection, datacenter proxies work well.
A mix of both is often used to balance speed and cost.
